Happy New Year from Pennard Hill Farm.

The winter so far has bought rather a lot of rain down here in Somerset although the ducks seem to be enjoying the weather. Lily, our West Highland White puppy seems to be spending most of her time as a West Highland brown after rolling around outside but she enjoys the warm bath she needs when she comes in!!

However winter brings its own charm for our guests – brisk walks up Glastonbury Tor or a round of golf on one of the local courses and back to a lovely log fire in a cosy cottage and a good DVD!!  

Another of the attractions here at the farm is the lovely heated indoor pool in the temperature controlled barn which is a perfect way to take some exercise if the winter weather is not to your liking.

Sadly Mr Fox found his way through the electric fence and paid an unwelcome visit to our Pekin chickens. Hopefully in due course we will get some more and build them their own Fort Knox to keep them safe!  The ewes are in with the rams so hopefully we will be expecting some more lambs sometime this Spring and when the weather warms up again the cattle will be back in the paddocks.
