Longleat Festival of Light

It may be getting colder, and the nights might be drawing in, but that’s no excuse to stay stuck indoors. Next month sees the start of one of Somerset’s most iconic events – The Longleat festival of Light, and even better, this year is the 50th anniversary!

Longleat, is already famous for its safari, but between 11th November 2016 and 2nd January 2017, the park is transformed into a glowing winter wonderland. In fact, it’s Europe’s largest Chinese lantern festival and this year will be a celebration of all creatures great and small.

For this special anniversary, you’ll see your favourite characters from Beatrix Potter take centre stage to light up the park!

If you’re thinking about going for a pre-Christmas trip, be sure to check out The Santa Express. Journey past the stunning Half Mile Lake before getting off at North Pole Halt – home to an enchanting snow-covered winter wonderland. Father Christmas will be waiting for you in his grotto!

You can currently save 10% if you buy your tickets online and there’s special discounts available for group bookings.
